Everything's crashing
My site crashed along with the editor. Appliedi must be having maintainance issues...
contacting automotive bloggers
desperately need content for the site, contacting several automotive bloggers about writing a piece for me in exchange for posting their blog to my site.
Redone
I tried over and over again to fix my buddypress plugin so that the urls go where I want them to, to no avail.
I deleted buddypress and all of it's components from the site entirely...
I added a classifieds plugin; there are two options: paid and free. The paid option is nice as it has 20 pictures, 750 char. and preferred listing for only 2.99...
I added a forum server with several categories containing several forums within those categories, users can add posts and threads.
I added picture galleries that members can upload pictures of their cars to as well. Now all I need are users and car reviews from other bloggers!

more bad news
I couldn't edit it so that the output was what i wanted. I connected filezilla to my ftp account and am now searching my plugins folder for 'classifieds'... no such luck i think.
I NEED TO FIND A WAY TO HAVE NEW PAGES AUTOMATICALLY ADD TO THE ROOT URL. every time i make a new page it goes to www.niceride.com/INDEX.PHP/xxxxxx... I'm trying to get it to add them like this: www.niceride.com/xxxxxx I think i have to go into my control panel and change the website settings, but i'm not sure if that will mess everything up, wish me luck!

The beginning
With help from appliedi, i've set up my wordpress application within applied innovations and have a way to build my site.
It's supposed to be a car enthusiast site, i'm not going to try to reinvent the wheel but some good user interface should rake in a handsome google adsense income so hopefully i can move on to other endeveurs.
So far installed buddypress along with buddypress classifieds and several other buddypress compatible plugins...
1st problem, classifieds is routing to www.niceride.com/classifieds instead of www.niceride.com/index.php/classifieds this is a problem because the root is index.php...
helpful piere over at applied i has no experience with buddypress but i asked him if there was a way to move the file over via php and he sent me a filezilla link. Let's see if i can move the file over without confusing the plugin and corrupting the connection between the interface and the files... i'll get back
